Leadership Team
The Prime Communications executive team has many decades of experience in retail management and real estate leasing.
Farid leads corporate management and real estate operations at Prime Communications. He has 16+ years of experience in developing and managing successful retail organizations. A serial entrepreneur, he founded Prime Communications in 1999 and has established strong partnerships with leading national wireless network operators. Farid has led the company through dramatic year-over-year growth. He is a member of several community organizations and is also a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO).
Akbar manages the operations at Prime Communications
by directing and leading sales and marketing, supply chain and guest
service functions. Formerly Chief Financial Officer, he led the company's expansion
and launch of its retail markets. Previously, he served as an Analyst at Hicks,
Muse, Tate & Furst, a private investment firm in Dallas, and as a Mergers
and Acquisitions Analyst at Goldman Sachs, a global investment bank in New
York. Akbar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, summa cum
laude, from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Michael leads initiatives to enhance profitable sales growth, develop agent/operator relationships,
improve the guest experience, and promote sales. He is also involved in the Prime Communications
acquisition program. His sales responsibilities include budgeting, training, recruiting and
human capital development. Michael previously served as Eastern Division Vice President for
RadioShack Corp. where he held full accountability for the company's highest volume division
accounting for more than $1.6 billion in sales and encompassing more than 1,600 locations. Michael
joined RadioShack in 1981 as a part-time sales associate and spent 25 years with the firm, receiving
recognition and many awards for sales, profits and service. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Information Management from Polytechnic University of New York.
Nick is responsible for real estate development, including site acquisitions,
broker and landlord relationships, lease negotiations and public relations.
He also works with wireless operators to expand their network of retail stores.
Nick has been with Prime Communications since the company's launch and
opened the firm's first retail store in April 1999. For six years, he
managed all retail sales operations for the company. Specific areas of expertise
include lease negotiations, management and store build outs.
Gary recently joined Prime Communications and is responsible
for the company's contractual and legal functions. He has a broad
range of experience which includes commercial transaction structuring,
mergers and acquisitions, borrowing and lending and partnership matters.
Before joining Prime, Gary was Of Counsel to a major international
law firm where he advised clients in connection with sophisticated business
transactions. He began his career with the federal government in Washington,
D.C., and practiced with a Wall Street law firm before relocating to
Houston in 1980. Gary holds a Juris Doctor degree from St. John's
University School of Law in New York City and is licensed to practice
law in the states of Texas and New York.
Angela oversees all recruiting, hiring, employee relations and development for
Prime Communications. She has more than 15 years of experience in human resources.
Previously she was Director of Human Resources and Risk Management for Saltgrass
Restaurants and Conn Appliances. Angela has a proven track record of reducing turnover,
decreasing recruiting and staffing costs and developing effective training programs.
In addition, she has two years of experience in managing a Cingular retail store. Angela
has earned Senior Professional Human Resource and Certified Risk Management designations.
She attended Texas Christian University.
